Welcome to a fantastic sport and our amazing club!

Artistic swimming (renamed by FINA in 2017 from Synchronised Swimming) combines Swimming, Athleticism, Strength, Flexibility and Agility with Dance and Teamwork.

We are accredited by Swim England and part of the ASA North-Eastern Region and Yorkshire Region for Artistic Swimming.

We were formed in 1999 by Charlotte Hughes, herself a National Champion at Artistic Swimming, the club was called Halifax Synchro.

In 2021 after receiving devastating news that our pool would not reopen after the pandemic, we made the exciting decision in May 2022 to become City of Bradford Artistic Swimming, affiliated to City of Bradford Swimming Club and moved to our new base and training pool at Shipley.

The club uses a facebook page for social media ‘City of Bradford Artistic Swimming’ and some of the swimmers also manage an instagram page (also called City of Bradford Artistic Swimming).

We were ranked 3rd nationally as a club at the Combo Cup held virtually and in 2022 we were ranked 10th place out of 36 clubs after competing in the Combo Cup at the National Aquatic Centre in the Olympic Village.

We hold lessons for beginners level all the way up to masters age group. We currently have 6 competitive squads, two of which are for masters swimmers .

Training for our beginners squads is on a Saturday at Shipley pool from 15:00. Please contact us if you’d like to come along for a free of charge trial.

We look forward to welcoming you to our club .
