Well done City of Bradford Swimming Club, we had a brilliant couple of weekends at the NER’s AT Sheffield. You all performed brilliantly and should be proud of yourselves, as you each supported each other well. There was a really good team spirit on poolside on both weekends.
A big congratulations to our 4 gold medal, 2 silver medal winner and top BAGCAT 10yr old boy Myles Stirk who had a phenomenal 2 weekends with PB’S in all his swims. Another well done to our other double gold medallist, and 1 silver medal, Jimmy Lund. Also well done to all the finalists over the 2 weekends.

ASA NORTH EAST REGION BRITISH GAS BAGCAT CHAMPIONSHIPS
PONDS FORGE ,SHEFFIELD 5/6 AND 12/13 JUNE 2010
Emerging junior talent Myles Stirk was on top form when he produced some outstanding performances at the North East Region British Gas BAGCAT Championships held at Ponds Forge Sheffield. The ten year old who trains with Sarah Fisher, Bradford Aquatic Development’s Coach came home with no fewer than four golds and two silvers. His medal winning swims also earned him the 10 year old BAGCAT title for 2010. His gold medal winning performances came in the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and 200m individual medley. He also clinched silver medals in the 100m and 200m backstroke. To add to everyone’s delight all his swims were personal best times.
Joining him as a finalist was older sister Isabel who placed ninth in the thirteen years 100m freestyle in a personal best time of 1.03.59.
Also swimming in the ten year age group James Lund continued his run of good form with gold medal winning swims in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. He came a close second to Stirk in the 200m individual medley and with a seventh place finish in the 200m freestyle and two personal best times the Keighley swimmer showed that he is one to watch.
With a host of personal best times final placings went to Hannah Beaumont, Isobel Mawson, Josh Zenner, James Blaby and Joshua Walker.
Other swimmers who qualified for this prestigious meet were Emma Blaby, Chelsie Reardon, Eva Mooney, Megan Lee, Gianni Vienza and Aidan Sheldon.
