		LEEDS B GRADE MEET JOHN CHARLES CENTRE FOR SPORT 23/01/2010 A squad of swimmers who all train with Leisure Services coaching and training scheme competed at the John Charles Centre for Sport at the Leeds B Grade Meet. The meet was a good introduction to competition for some of the swimmers, who were joined by more experienced swimmers. Jovanna Lugonja and Emma Whitaker both secured gold and silver medals. Lugonja in the 9/10 years 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley and Whitaker in the 13/14 yrs 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle. Imogen Talbot completed the gold medal tally with a win the 13/14 yrs 100m freestyle. Dale Brundle was the only other medallist with a bronze in the 11/12 years 50m backstroke. He also placed seventh in the 50m freestyle Junior Development swimmers Gianni Vienza and Jordan Tate had two final place finishes in the boys 11/12 years age group. Also finishing with a top ten finish were, Siobhan Akers, Eleanor Coones, Phoebe Acton, and Luke Strauss. Speeding tickets are awarded to swimmers who exceed the entry cut off time for their grade and Abigail Shuttleworth was awarded a ticket for her time of 3.12.94 in the girls 9/10 years 200m individual medley.
