The annual Harrogate Swimming Club A/B Graded Meet held at the Hydro saw city’s swimmers win a plethora of medals.
Outstanding performances and gold medals in the A Grade meet went to the following swimmers:
Josh Walker (3), Luke Strauss (3), Michaela Dalton (2), Eva Chapman (2), James Blaby (2), Jamie Brown (2), Aidan Sheldon ( 2), Josh Holdsworth (2), Hannah Midgley (1), Emma Blaby (1), Nicole Fordham (1), Azura Cairns Poole (1), Neve Godfrey Clarke (1), James Lund (1), Matthew Brown (1) and Gianni Vienza (1). Nine year old George Acton also won gold in the 50m breaststroke and gained a speeding ticket in the 50m backstroke.In total City had a pleasing 27 gold, 21 silver and 17 bronze and Acton’s speeding ticket at this level.
At B grade level the 27 gold, 26 silver and 26 bronze were shared between a host of swimmers with the following coming out on top of the rostrum,

The meet was a good introduction to competitive swimming for some of City’s emerging swimmers all of whom train with Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme.
