A huge well done to all the swimmers who took part in the end of season meet, 197 medals between you all is a fantastic achievement.

Along with the huge numbers of medals, were even more pb’s all weekend even in the late evening session which was again fantastic to see.

City of Bradford Swimming Club held their annual End of Season A/B Graded Meet over two days when swimmers from as far a field as South Lincolnshire, Clitheroe and York converged on Shipley Pool to complete their seasons racing.

With a bumper entry competition was fierce but City’s swimmers outclassed their rivals in many of the events and were on top of the podium on numerous occasions.

The boy’s A Grade events saw Matthew Brown and Ryan Allen top of the table with eight and six gold medals respectively. They were closely followed by Jamie Brown who claimed three gold’s and finally George Acton with one gold medal.

Not to be outclassed the girls A grade gold medal tally was led by Ellie Talbot and Joanna Gledhill with five golds apiece. Emma Blaby, Eva Chapman, Jasmine Hanson and Hannah Midlgley went home with three golds and Nicole Fordham two. Elle Pickett, Abigail Shuttleworth, Isabel Stirk and Phoebe Acton all ended the season on a high with a gold medal to their credit.

In the B grade events Imogen Stubbs and Luke Strauss lead the charge with four gold medals and close behind were Seth Berry and Ben Wortley with three and Olivia Hanson, George Acton, Nathan Strauss and Alexander Medd with two.

Last but by no means least were, Amelia Foulds, Laura Hartley, Jovana Lugonja, Hollie Evans, Sophie Holdsworth, Michaela Dalton, Laura Mitchell, Jessica Foulds Joanna Gledhill, Ryan Allen, Dale Brundle, Cameron Walker and Joshua Holdsworth, with one gold medal to their credit.
