How Do I Join?

If you would think that any of  this could be just the opportunity that you or your child has been looking for, then there are different routes into the club;

  • If you are already a member of a Local Swimming Club, speak to your coach to arrange an assessment swim, or
  • If you are not a Swimming Club Member, contact our Senior Coach who can arrange for you to attend an assessment session where a coach can determine the right squad for you.
  • Subject to eligibility criteria, you can enter the Rising Stars Swimming Galas where your swimming can be assessed by the Junior Development Coach.

Andy Pearce - Senior Coach c/o Bingley Pool, Myrtle Place, Bingley, BD16 2LF - Tel. 01274 438791

If you would like further information on the club you could contact

Christine McCabe - Club Secretary

Sandy Fordham - membership secretary by e-mail

What will it cost?

There are three different costs to consider;

1) The annual membership fees for the City of Bradford Swimming Club which cover the costs of the administration of the Club, coaches at galas and some entry fees.

2) The Training Fees which cover the cost of pool time and coaching.

3) In order to compete at Open Galas you must be a level 2 Member of the ASA -either through the City of Bradford or via your local club

CoBSC Membership Fees

These are the Annual Fees for membership of the City of Bradford Swimming Club for 2009. They are used for the administration of the club and to cover the expenses of coaches accompanying swimmers to galas. As you can see, they are graded according to the level of squad that you are swimming in, and how many swimmers there are in the family.

Membership fees are payable on joining and then renewable annually. Cheques should be made payable to the City of Bradford Swimming Club.

Membership and training fees are reviewed annually at the A.G.M.

If you wish to enter Open Meets as a City of Bradford swimmer, you will need to be a fully paid up member of the club.

Each Junior Squad membership includes a free social membership for an adult who will be eligible to act on their behalf in club matters and an ASA social membership for that adult.

This Competitive Swimmer ASA membership fee is NOT included in the City of Bradford Membership fees.

If you already belong to another swimming club, you may already be registered with them. If not, please contact our Membership Secretary for registration forms.

Renewal for existing members is due in February.
